Foot care steps :-
Step 1
Examine your feet. look at your feet closely to check for scratches and cuts, swelling, any inflamation or discolouration. If you are unable to see yourself, use a hand mirror or ask ur family member or a friend to help you out.
Step 2
Wash your feet daily. It is must to wash and examine your feet daily. Use luke warm water and mild soap. Gently dry your feet. Dont't forget to dry between your toes. Apply moisturizing cream on your feet but not between your toes.
Step 3
Do not sleep with hot water bottle with you
Before taking bath, check the temperature of the bath water using your elbow. Do not use your feet to check the temperature of water.
Step 4
Cut your toenails straight across. Dont cut down the sides of your nails. If you have reduced feeling of circulation in your feet, consult your doctor.
Step 5
Do not try to cut or scratch corns and calluses by your self or bycorn remover or razor. Consult your doctor for the same.
Step 6
Check your footwear regularly. wear proper fitting shoes, with laces. Only proper shoes will allow your foot muscle to work properly and prevent rubbing. Wear new shoes just for an hour.Always wear clean socks. if you do not mend them, buy a new pair instead. Before wearing shoe check it, if there are some objects like stone remove them immediately
Step 7
Do not go BareFoot. Even indoors you should wear slipperswith hard sole to prevent any injury.
Step 8
Go for a walk Daily. This immproves the blood circulation in the feet.
Step 9
Stop Smoking and Drinking alcohol. Smoking and drinking futher worsen cirulatory problems.
Step 10
Visit your doctor regularly at the scheduled date and time. Discuss your problems with him and stick to the advice offered to live a healthy life.
